Who we are
My love for nature began in childhood. I grew up playing outside every day—rain or shine, winter or spring. My earliest memory of connection with the natural world is of a large maple tree that stood beside our house. Its branches stretched over our roof, offering shelter from the weather.
At about three years old, I would stand at the window and gaze at that tree for long stretches of time. Some days I’d climb its branches; other days, I’d simply sit beneath it, surrounded by fallen leaves or the whirling “helicopters” of spring. That tree was my first teacher—a steady, comforting presence that invited me to slow down, notice, and just be.
I’d love to hear your story too—what’s your first memory of connecting with nature? Share it with me here or on Facebook or Instagram.
As a certified forest therapy guide, I lead individuals on gentle, immersive walks through natural landscapes. These walks are designed to help participants slow down, engage their senses, and deepen their connection with the forest. This practice, inspired by the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-yoku or "forest bathing," offers a pathway to physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Forest therapy walks are not hikes or nature tours. They unfold at a slow, mindful pace, allowing participants to be fully present in the moment. As a guide, I offer a series of carefully crafted invitations—simple, nature-based prompts that help awaken sensory awareness and foster a sense of ease and belonging in the natural world.
Scientific studies show that spending time in forests can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, boost immune function, and improve mood and focus. But beyond the research, many people find that forest therapy brings a sense of peace, clarity, and renewal that is hard to find elsewhere.
My role is not to interpret nature or lead a discussion, but to hold space and create a safe, welcoming environment where participants can engage with nature in their own unique way. In this work, the forest is the therapist—my job is simply to open the door.
Whether you're seeking stress relief, creative inspiration, or a deeper sense of connection, forest therapy offers a gentle yet powerful way to restore balance and -being. All are welcome, regardless of age, fitness level, or prior experience with nature.
